bgstack15Devuan meet tomorrow, March 18, at 20:30 UTC. Pad is here: https://pad.dyne.org/code/#/2/code/edit/nsRat-YY9BE9mtntMoryWeDR/14:47
amesserLeePen: Maybe there is no more a need for a devuanized tomcat9 in sid/ceres since the initscript is available in the "orphaned-init-scripts" package now?20:59
masonamesser: Do you support the notion of adopting that? I think it's an awful answer, personally.21:41
amessermason: sry, didn't understand that.22:41
masonamesser: The orphaned-init-scripts package seems like a very unwieldy answer to me.22:41
masonamesser: For one, it'll need updating for ANY package that uses it if that package has to change its init script.22:42
masonA per-package companion package would be better, but would still suffer from having no automated way to require it unless we fork something to require it, at which point we might as well just fork the original package.22:43
amesserAh, ok.22:43
amesserWell, I'm fine with packaging tomcat9, thats not a lot work anyways.22:44
amesserJust wanted to ask, maybe someone thinks using the orphaned... package would be better.22:45
golinuxamesser: Any chance you could come to the meet tomorrow to discuss?22:46
golinuxHaven't seen you for a long time.22:47
amesserI think dyne does not like my cam :-(, the last time it refused to work because of to small resolution.22:47
golinuxWant to give it a quick test?22:48
masonamesser: try test.webrtc.org/ ?22:48
amesserCurrently you won't see much except hair :-) But tomorrow I have a date with the hair-dresser22:48
amesserYeas we can try22:48
golinuxvdc.dyne.org/devuan22:49
golinuxgive me a sec22:49
amesserHaha, was just about asking that22:49
amesserHmm, immediately freezes here22:50
amesserAfter four restarts of firefox we finally end up with a connection :-)23:14
amesserI think the last time ( year ago or so) jitsi was configured such that it wont accept the low resolution of my cam at all. But this seems to be fixed now.23:15
golinuxWas great to see you!23:15
