sixwheeledbeastSicelo: Worked on a TPLINK Archer today which had IPv6 Tunnel options you required. Was in Advanced > Network > IP Tunnel maybe check if your router has this option (Not keen on TP stuff menu structure is garbage)21:43
siceloYes sixwheeledbeast. that's where i was setting it. but it wasn't working.23:15
sixwheeledbeastsicelo: I didn't see that option. There are options for 6in4 there?23:16
sicelothe problem with  my tplink is that the only tunneling protocol it supports is 6rd, but tunnelbroker does not support this particular protocol23:16
sixwheeledbeastsicelo: It seemed that the TPLINK I saw had DS-Lite, 6in4 and 6rd. Having seen how weird the menu structure was today it made me think the option could easily be missed or misconfigured.23:21
sicelomine doesn't have those. only 6rd23:21
siceloso you were working on a slightly better one :)23:22
sicelothe menu structed seems to be the same as on a few DLink's i've used23:22
sixwheeledbeastIt seems you needed to create a "WAN Profile" and then like this tunnel to it. I would double check.23:22
sixwheeledbeastd-link :shudder:23:22
sicelowhat routers you use most?23:23
sixwheeledbeasts/like/link/23:23
sixwheeledbeastI use Draytek on most SME/SOHO sites23:25
sicelonever seen those in our part of the world. seems in most cases, dlinks are used here.23:26
sicelomikrotiks seem popular at SME level23:27
sixwheeledbeastThey are fairly popular for business in UK and Aus/NZ. I visit sites where the AP management and other features help.23:33
sixwheeledbeastA friend of mine uses them for VPN trunks to remote diagnose commercial sites over Africa. I think they are available there.23:34
sicelodraytek? i know the name  from some local forum, but they are really rare  in these parts23:35
sixwheeledbeastInteresting. They are distributed by SD Group South Africa over there.23:38
sixwheeledbeastThey sell Lutron too another brand I know well.23:39
sixwheeledbeastAnyway, it was just a thought that you may have missed something in the settings yesterday... It seems illogical to support different types of IPv6 tunnels without a menu for it.23:41
sicelomaybe my English sucks .. this tplink doesn't support different types of ipv6 tunnels. only supports 6rd.23:50
siceloAsk here. That's what the group is for.23:51

sicelo(wrong paste buffer for that "ask here" line)23:51
siceloor you mean that it really does support more tunnels types, but the menu is lacking?23:53
siceloi tried telnet to it, but most of the commands in there hang the telnet connection. crap router. only good for just basic connectivity. i wonder what serious vulnerabilities are hiding in it23:58
sixwheeledbeastAh no you explained correctly, I don't think you pasted that page yesterday. Maybe firmware update available with more options?23:58
sixwheeledbeastVulnerabilities is another reason I use a enterprise grade routers that offer firmware updates regularly.23:59
