sunshaviswb: ii  libqt4-core                                         1:4.7.4~git20110505+cssu12                Qt 4 core module00:23
sunshavisixwheeledbeast: which version is required?00:24
sixwheeledbeastsunshavi: seems fine I believe cssu15 has an issue00:31
sunshaviMmm. Then no idea what the issue is for playing. Let me see If I can see something on the command line00:33
sixwheeledbeastreboot?00:38
sunshavii am going to try it00:39
sunshaviwhich format should i pick {720, 360 webm, 360 mp4}?00:49
sixwheeledbeastsunshavi: 360 mp400:54
sunshaviok. Thanks {i have picked the three of them is is not working for all them}00:55
sixwheeledbeastdownloading? tried both players?00:56
sunshavimmm. default and open media player?00:58
sunshavii think download is the issue00:58
sunshavihow could i try the download from osso-xterm?00:59
sixwheeledbeastit doesnt have a cli afaik?01:24
sixwheeledbeast~zzztop02:06
infobothmm... zzztop is - the better and even FOSS powertop - http://wiki.maemo.org/Zzztop02:06
brolin_empeyNot that it matters but I no longer have cellular connectivity compatible with the integrated cellular modem of the N900 because I switched from Fido (Rogers Wireless) to Lucky Mobile (Bell Mobility) as part of reducing my monthly fixed expenses because my income is too little.11:17
sicelonow it's a real NIT :)17:33
siceloat that meeting i was in a week ago, where the telecoms regulator said we don't need 5G, I asked if they had plans to discontinue 2G. They said no, which means my N900 stil has some life17:35
KotCzarnysee?17:56
KotCzarnyless e-waste17:56
sunshavisicelo I also have a NIT18:30
sicelowhere's that sunshavi? no 2G/3G anymore?18:33
sunshavimodem failed18:33
sicelooh, that. i have an N900 like that :) been using it to test Leste and PostmarketOS18:34
sunshavii can not install leste there . Cos of bluetooth18:35
sicelowhat about bluetooth?18:35
sunshaviI use it for remote controling the orange pi on the car18:35
sicelooh i see18:35
sicelowhat does the orange pi do?18:35
sicelo(btw, Leste is not a permanent install .. i run it from SD card, and still have access to Fremantle when i need to)18:36
sunshavihttp://www.kipuamutay.com/en/blog/improveAutoradioWithOpi.html18:36
sunshaviMmm. what I would like to do is running leste in place of archlinux on orange pi. But again bluetooth would be the problem. Bluetooth is key on my use case18:37
sicelothe reason bT does not work is simply because N900's BT is quirky on mainline for now. but on devices where BT is supported ( i hope on OPi for example), then of course BT will work with Leste18:39
sunshavimmm. then I could try it. :)18:39
siceloi've considered sometihng like that project for my car .. but N900's FM transmitter seems good enough for me :)18:40
sunshaviyeah, But I have 10 thousand mp3 files. Just emacs can cope with that18:40
KotCzarnyor oscp18:40
KotCzarny:>18:40
sicelowhat i still want to do is use an sbc for gps, but must still find a gps receiver that i can connect to the ones i have (BBB an NTC CHIP)18:41
sunshaviKotCzarny: lol18:41
sunshaviI am an emacs guys. People on emacs have a tendency to do everything within emacs18:41
sunshavibut oscp is great I have liked it18:41
KotCzarnyyeah, it's one of those cases where user experience is most important18:42
sunshaviyes. on opi I have moved from mplayer as backend to mpv18:42
sunshavimy X resolution on opi is 1920x1200. H3 without lima have issues playing video on it18:43
KotCzarnyfor video play you need cedrus, not lima18:43
KotCzarnylima is for 3d accel18:44
sunshavibut cedrus needs vlc which is resource hungry18:44
KotCzarnythere is mplayer with cedrus working18:44
sunshavimmmm?18:44
sunshavithat is great news for me18:44
KotCzarnyin fact, folks who develop cedrus used mplayer as a testing tool18:44
KotCzarnyi thihnk it was rellla or jernej18:45
sunshavithen I need the git address for compiling it. 5.3 is coming tomorrow. And I plan to upgrade on monday18:45
sunshavicedrus would have x264 support on 5.318:45
KotCzarnyyes, and x265 too i think18:46
sunshavireally neat. I was planning on dropping h3 and moving to h6. But going back to firefox in place of chromium has coped with my memory issues by now18:47
sunshavimail is going to help me with krita weth using a huion tablet?18:47
sunshavis/mail/mali/18:47
infobotsunshavi meant: mali is going to help me with krita weth using a huion tablet?18:47
sunshavis/weth/when/18:48
infobotsunshavi meant: mail is going to help me with krita when using a huion tablet?18:48
sicelohaha18:48
sicelonow it's back to mail18:48
sunshaviyes infobot has an issue :)18:48
sunshaviback to oscp: the other day I wanted to send different sounds to different bluetooth speakers (a weird case i know. I was just testing) {it was when in the car}. Could I launch different oscp sessions?18:51
KotCzarnyi think it sends to pulse, so it will go wherever fremantle sends it to18:52
sunshaviIt is just a curious question BTW18:52
KotCzarnyin other words, when i enable fm transmitter, it correctly routes audio18:52
KotCzarnyie. stops playing on speakers and plays on radio18:52
KotCzarnyhavent tested bt, but i suspect it works correctly18:53
sunshaviThink in this case. (this is with Opi). You are on the car and your son want music from his Usb-pendrive. And your daughter wants also music from her-pendrive. With just one OPI. how could I do that? (It is just curiosity, nothing really important)18:54
sunshaviobviously with bluetooth headphones18:55
KotCzarnyyou mean 2 separate outputs?18:55
sunshaviyes18:55
KotCzarnythat's tricky18:55
KotCzarnyhow would they choose it to play?18:56
KotCzarnyyou would either need 2 operating systems or 2 separate players18:56
KotCzarnyand 2 bt dongles maybe18:56
sunshavii could open two terminal on N900 for every bluetooth dongle18:56
sunshaviterminal with ssh session to opi18:57
sunshaviYes. I was thinking on that mplayer has an option for especifing the bluetooth device. The curiosity question is ¿How oscp manages that case?18:58
KotCzarnybut imo 2 separate devices might be easiest to achieve18:58
KotCzarnyand maybe sharing filesystem via samba or nfs to them from single opi18:58
KotCzarnyoscp doesnt know what system outputs to, it uses simplepulse lib and os does the rest18:59
KotCzarnywith command lines one might probably spawn 2 separate audio players with manually selected audio out18:59
sunshavinice. Then oscp could manage that case. That would convert OPI on a Hub-Music-Device19:00
KotCzarnystill, i havent heard of multi user audio player with separate audio out for different users19:02
KotCzarnybut i havent looked for such, to be honest19:02
KotCzarnyoscp is more about multi-remotes, single audio out case19:02
sunshaviIt is probably a corner case19:03
KotCzarnybut on linux it's doable, just needs some hackery19:03
KotCzarnyimo it would definitely need 2 audio dongles (either 2 bt or 2 n900s)19:04
sunshavior an lcd screen on opi19:05
sunshavilcd and also touch screen19:05
KotCzarnyand 2 players running side by side?19:05
KotCzarny:)19:05
sunshaviyes19:06
KotCzarnybut 2x n900 case would be easiest19:06
KotCzarnythey would get both separate bt and own controller19:06
KotCzarnyand opi would serve files via samba/nfs19:06
KotCzarnythat's easiest solution19:06
sunshaviyes. N900 the easiest. Battery life could be an issue. Opi power comes from cigarrete lighter19:07
sunshaviBTW. I have been experimenting with using NFS on opi19:07
sunshaviit shares fine to x220. But the contrary has not been possible yet19:07
sunshaviprobably kernel config issues19:08
KotCzarnywell, 2 opis would be an alternative, but then you still need some controller to select files to play19:08
sunshavinot two opis (I have just one cigarret lighter)19:08
KotCzarnyglue the n900s to the back of the front seats and route power to them? :)19:09
sunshavithat would be nice19:10
sunshavinice talking to You guys. Time to conmute19:15
ontimeStrange, on N900 when I use Alpine with Gmail through WiFi, everything is ok, but when I switch to GSM, it won't connect at all. It says no authorized19:58
ontimeOther mail service works fine through GSM. On maemo I has libssl 0.9.8, and in easydeb libssl is 1.0.1f, both behaves the same, any clue?19:58
KotCzarnysome proxy?20:04
KotCzarnyor your gsm operator is fishy20:04
KotCzarnyand intercepts ssl20:05
ontimeno proxy20:06
ontimeIt was google security. New device & new ISP, it was need logging through web browser and confirm new device. Now it works also with Alpine and others.21:02
ontimeWhy N900 doesn't allow enable FmTX when earphone are plugged in?21:03
ontimeFmTX has it own antenna21:05
sicelobecause Nokia thought that the audio should go one way only, either fmtx or earphone/speaker21:10
sicelowhen using fmtx with mainline kernel, audio goes to both fmtx and speakers/headphone simultaneously, unless you turn the speaker off21:11
ontimeok, can it be some hacked and to have fmtx on with heeadphone connected?21:15
siceloi suppose so ... although very few are hacking on fremantle anymore21:16
ontimeit would be handy but e, whatever21:17
ontimeN900 it's still cool device, thx KotCzarny, sicelo21:19
