sicelovoice does work on qmi modems04:41
sicelothat's what all the other mobile UIs use04:42
sicelohttps://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/blob/main/src/mm-call-qmi.c?ref_type=heads05:02
freemangordonsicelo: ah, right, however, libqmi does not fully support what we need (clip, clir, call forward, etc). You will see when I publish what I am working on07:30
siceloah, ok. yes i have no real experience with libqmi stuff07:43
Guest5Hi all, did you know that Pixel 6 is added to the mainline kernel?15:08
Guest5Since kernel 5.1515:09
gnarfacewell i sure didn't, but i don't really matter15:12
Guest5What is the progress with Librem 5, if anyone started to work with it. I could not find Librem5 entry in the wiki.15:20
Guest5Btw I donated one.15:21
Guest5Some time passed since.15:21
Guest5gnarface why is that?15:22
gnarfaceGuest5: i don't actually work here :)15:24
Guest5I see :)15:24
Wizzuphi15:40
WizzupGuest5: so the Librem5 is on its way to sicelo15:40
Wizzuphe's working on the support15:40
jxshiwizzup did you get my message last wed?15:43
Wizzupnot sure, gimme a moment15:46
Wizzupthe last I can find in my logs is 23:56 < jxshi> yeah no problem thanks im literally trying to learn how to find bugs so this is great tbh15:49
jxshiwizzup i pm my address on wed but i dont think you recieved it umm do you have an email or something?16:20
WizzupI didn't get a message on DM I think16:21
inkyfolks how to do setxkbmap to switch to original d4 layout?16:23
inkyi use dvorak on lapdock but when i get d4 out of lapdock i need to switch back.16:23
inkysetxkbmap droid4 doesnt work neither by path nor by name.16:23
freemangordonsicelo: any clue why CLIR change is not send to network but seems to be locally stored or something18:46
freemangordonthis is for AT commands18:47
diejuseWhen I click on the "Music" option in openmediaplayer it crashes and gives me the "segmentation fault" error. Any clue what could happen?19:03
Wizzupperhaps the right daemons aren't running?19:04
Wizzupmafw-*, dbus19:04
Wizzupdo you execute the xsession dir?19:05
Wizzupthe scripts in the*19:05
diejuseI think I haven't understood you.19:07
diejuseok! It needs mafw-playlist-daemon ! I have installed it and it already works. Thanks for giving me the key to the problem19:14
Wizzupwhen maemo leste starts, every script in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/ is run, and then in /etc/X11/Xsession.post/19:14
WizzupI don't think if this is feasible for you, but it might make sense to at least evaluage which ones you'd like to run19:15
diejuseYes I understand. I didn't think openmediaplayer would need a specific daemon and I thought everything needed had already been installed when I did "apt install openmediaplayer"19:17
WizzupI think something like run-parts(8) could be used for this19:18
WizzupI don't think there is anything in xsession.d or xsession.post that you couldn't start19:18
Wizzupalso from a future integration perspective, honouring the x session scripts would be good19:19
inky> ok! It needs mafw-playlist-daemon ! I have installed it and it already works. Thanks for giving me the key to the problem20:08
inkywasn't it installed as dependency?20:08
Wizzupsome of this is still in devel.20:13
diejuseBut I can't know to use it. How open a song? I don't see a option to search songs.21:04
Wizzupgnome tracker has to run and scan the music directories21:05
Wizzupyou don't 'open' a song, it scans specific directories and then shows them.21:05
diejuseok, What specific directories are they? Maybe I don't have them created or they are empty.21:11
freemangordon.sounds21:14
freemangordonfor example21:14
freemangordonugh, why pmos guys do not upstream ofono patches?21:42
freemangordonsicelo: ^^^21:42
freemangordonany idea? who can I talk with to coordinate?21:42
sicelommm, which patches?21:49
siceloanyway ... pmOS doesn't really use ofono (anymore). nearly everything of theirs uses MM21:50
siceloregarding CLIR, i have no clue tbh. that's a QMI thing, or ofono?21:50
freemangordonmodem thing21:52
freemangordonanywayt21:52
freemangordon*anyway21:52
freemangordonre patches - we have qmi voice call patch in our ofono21:52
freemangordon9c8ec63c1bb41a03cd87d2733dd83ecd148d010521:53
freemangordonI suspect this comes from pmos21:53
freemangordonhttps://codeberg.org/305a385/pmaports/src/branch/master/temp/ofono/0005-qmimodem-implement-voice-calls.patch21:54
sicelopmos did carry some ofono patches, but eventually everything was dropped in favor of MM. partly not pmOS per se ... but the UIs themselves. KDE's Plasma Mobile stopped using ofono, and Phosh was always mainly using MM (due to the Gnome background, naturally)21:55
freemangordonstill, I think we should get that upstreamed21:55
freemangordondo you know the guy?21:55
siceloi've seen that patch before. let me see if i can find the guy somewhere in pmos rooms21:56
siceloin ofono's IRC chat, you may want to ping minecrell ... he might know a bit too21:56
sicelothat person might not have been part of pmOS community as such ... seems the part was imported into pmos just to support Plasma Mobile back then, https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/commit/975b33952e8a16c0647b91a6b4a29e3de587535e22:07
sicelomaybe just drop him a mail :-)22:07
freemangordonwill do22:07
freemangordonbut will send my own patches first :)22:07
sicelocool. i saw the one regarding dropping GLib22:08
freemangordonyeah22:15
freemangordonthat one came out because ofono 2.4 segfaulted as soon as I started it in the VM :)22:15
