golinux | mason: Some days ago I asked if your https://github.com/ChibaPet/install-debian-zfs-sysvinit was going to be available in Debian (and therefore Devuan). If you responded, I didn't see it. | 18:50 |

golinux | If it's just a pet project, discussion should go to offtopic. | 18:51 |
golinux | (. . . if there ever is any) | 18:54 |
mason | golinux: No, the goal is for me to convert the relevant bits to udebs so they can be used in the installer. | 19:12 |
mason | I mentioned it in response to "2 people only tangentially connected to devuan athat nd who have contributed very little (but talk a lot)" - so, after the unpleasantness where one of our compatriots was ill-used, I decided to obviate Devuan in my infrastructure by achieving everything Devuan does by dint of a short shell script. Obviously since then I've decided to rethink my position. I'm not sure why | 19:15 |
mason | it continues to be a topic. | 19:15 |
mason | Apologies, I need to up my game a bit. (And produce tangibles for the project, which is an utterly valid criticism.) | 19:55 |
mason | Interesting thing in case it's of use to anyone. Debian-side, but it probably matters here: If you debootstrap Bookworm, which tries to force usrmerge, Bookworm's debootstrap obeys pins, where Bullseye's debootstrap appears not to. I haven't read through to see what's changed yet. Just still exploring/testing now. | 21:39 |
