Wizzupfreemangordon: will do00:09
Wizzupfreemangordon: I don't know if extras-testing is the right thing, but I did this:00:10
Wizzup./run-job.py -d chimaera-testing -r extras -j jib00:10
Wizzupoh wrong pkg00:11
Wizzup:D00:11
Wizzupfreemangordon: it built00:21
freemangordonWizzup: thanks07:38
freemangordon...and it seems to work07:46
freemangordonarno11: please install facebook plugin from the repos08:00
freemangordonI will create accounts ui plugin as soon as I have some spare time08:00
freemangordonWizzup: didn't we have translations on transifex?08:20
Wizzupfreemangordon: yes10:45
Wizzupweblate10:46
Wizzuphttps://hosted.weblate.org/projects/maemo-leste/10:46
arno11freemangordon: the plugin from repo works :)10:51
Wizzupgreat11:12
arno11btw conversations is supposed to start on boot now, right ?11:16
arno11i'm asking because notifs work only if converstions ui has been opened first11:24
Wizzupno, it is not yet11:27
Wizzuponly in some -dev branch11:28
arno11ah ok11:28
WizzupI'm waiting for dsc to finish up some stuff before we push a new release11:28
arno11ok11:28
uvos__i presume non-sms notifications only work with conversations, sphone should take care of sms notifications regardeless11:59
freemangordonno12:00
uvos__?12:00
uvos__thats how that currently works yes12:00
freemangordonthere should be no concept of "sms" and "no sms"12:00
freemangordonyes12:00
freemangordonbut it should not be like that12:00
uvos__sphone has only ofono as its backend12:00
uvos__so it only gets sms12:00
freemangordonunderstandable12:01
uvos__sure but right now thats how that works, im just trying to figure out if arno11is reporting a bug12:01
freemangordonah12:01
freemangordonok12:01
freemangordonWizzup: hmm, how to add new string there?12:06
freemangordonam I blind or I just don;t have rights12:06
freemangordonoh, I guess I shall change the source repo12:10
arno11uvos__: no bug :) sms notif works with sphone and im notif with conversations12:13
arno11as you mentioned12:15
Wizzupfreemangordon: let's see if we can make weblate work12:26
Wizzupbut yeah I *think* it works both ways (the sync)12:27
Wizzupparazyd set it up, I don't really remember how it works12:28
bencohfreemangordon: fremantle has sms vs IM12:58
bencoh(vs others)12:58
freemangordonnot really, all is nhandled by conversations13:00
freemangordonI know there is differentiation there, but only for new sms/im13:01
freemangordonthe point is that sms-es are not handled by phone-ui ;)13:01
freemangordonWizzup: hmm, do you know how to get all account properties with mc-tool?13:07
arno11you mean all at the same time ?13:16
freemangordonor one by one13:16
freemangordondoes not really matter13:16
arno11ok13:16
alex1216Greetings. Have replaced the battery in my N900, and now it boots only to Leste. It appears to be charging and working from Leste (the N900 stays powered on after disconnecting the cable), but any attempt of booting Fremantle results in a reboot loop, like when the battery is dead... May it be an damaged Fremantle's / or a faulty battery-side13:16
arno11mc tool list13:16
alex1216circuits?13:16
arno11then mc tool show (list result)13:17
Wizzupfreemangordon: with show I think13:17
arno11yes13:17
freemangordondoes not work13:17
freemangordonbut ok, maybe I am doing something stupid13:17
Wizzupwhat are you not seeing that you are exspecting to see13:17
freemangordonthe dynamic parameters13:18
Wizzupyeah no show doesn't show all params13:18
freemangordonmhm13:18
Wizzupthis is very tricky in general, but it can be done over dbus13:18
WizzupI usually just check the cfg file13:18
Wizzupthis also doesn't show the dispatch one: mdbus2 org.freedesktop.Telepathy.AccountManager /org/freedesktop/Telepathy/Account/ring/tel/account0 org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.GetAll org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Account13:19
Wizzupbut maybe it's the wrong iface13:19
freemangordonmaybe13:19
freemangordonbut empathy somehow manages to get those13:19
Wizzupis this in the ui, or?13:19
freemangordonyes13:19
freemangordonind advanced13:19
freemangordon*in13:19
freemangordonalso, it seems accounts-ui also manages to get somethign :)13:20
Wizzupmaybe look at dbus-monitor ?13:20
freemangordonbtu not what I expect13:20
freemangordonyeah13:20
alex1216Should I calibrate the new battery using the Leste solely, or maybe making sure Fremantle does not use the "power user kernel"?13:21
bencohalex1216: battery calibration is only for gasgauge to properly report battery level, it shouldn't impact fremantle boot13:23
alex1216bencoh: What can affect the boot then? I can boot into Fremantle with the old battery or into Leste with the new one...13:25
freemangordonWizzup: seems haze params do not come even over dbus13:27
alex1216bencoh: Does the Fremantle kernel (either stock or "power user" one) perform level-related checks at boot?13:28
bencohalex1216: oh, low level itself might result in a reboot loop actually, but in your case that'd sound odd ....13:30
sicelohow do you boot leste? do you have to have keyboard out first, or it boots into it even when keyboard is closed?13:30
alex1216sicelo: The default entry in U-Boot is Fremantle, so I have the keyboard out.13:32
alex1216sicelo: Then I have the keyboard in to reach Fremantle's charging mode (U-Boot messages on a dimmed screen and the yellow flashing LED)...13:34
alex1216sicelo: During the reboot loop, the LED does also stay steady for a bit, which, IIRC is an indicator of an old battery, but Leste does run on the battery after all...13:36
siceloflashing led suggests your Fremantle is somewhat sane. what do you mean by bootloop btw13:36
alex1216sicelo: After some blinking cycles, it stays lit a bit longer, then the Nokia logo appears again and the boot sequence starts again.13:37
sicelook. in Leste, modprobe rx51-battery if it isn't already. then show what's in /sys/class/power_supply/rx51-battery/13:40
siceloi suspect your replacement battery reports wonky stuff via BSI, and perhaps it freaks out Fremantle's bme13:42
alex1216sicelo: Hmm, I have a build from July, 2021 and it says that there is no such module for the kernel 5.1.21. May the behavior from Fremantle replicate if I update?13:42
Wizzupfreemangordon: interesting13:43
sicelobtw, does the older battery still manage to boot into Fremantle, even if it needs help of a charger?13:43
Wizzupfreemangordon: maybe it reads the cfg file? but then I am not sure how it tells cm to restart/reload13:43
freemangordonWizzup: don;t worry13:43
freemangordonI am using gdb anyways :)13:44
Wizzuplet me know13:44
siceloalex1216: i typed from memory... so i might have got the naming wrong. search for rx51 in the modules directory13:45
freemangordonWizzup: hmm?13:47
alex1216sicelo: Yes, it does now even on the battery. There is nothing with "rx51", but "bq24150a-0", "by27200-0" and "isp1704" in /sys/class/power_supply.13:47
freemangordontp_account_get_parameters()13:47
Wizzupbtw I found telepathy-glib to be better documented than tpqt13:48
sicelook. i think i recall spinal removing the module. you say old battery boots Fremantle successfully, but new one doesn't?13:48
freemangordonsure13:48
freemangordon(tp-glib docs)13:48
sicelomakes sense @tp-glib13:48
sicelo:-)13:48
alex1216sicelo: Exactly. Should I check something with the old battery?13:49
Wizzupfreemangordon: does this also return the always_dispatch for ring?13:50
siceloif old battery works with Fremantle but new one doesn't, then we can be reasonably sure that your new battery has really wonky BSI info.13:51
siceloleste doesn't depend on that, so it probably can boot a weird battery (i though NOLO checked that ..  but maybe it's bme after all)13:51
freemangordonWizzup: no idea :)13:52
freemangordonbut I guess yes, it should return it13:52
freemangordonhowever, it is a bit tricky13:52
freemangordonbecause what I am doing in accounts-ui is - I am trying to get protocol parameter, but if it does not exists, I am trying to get protocol default for that parameter13:53
freemangordonBTW, why do you care about always_dispatch?13:53
freemangordonwith tp-ring in the repos, everything should be ok13:53
freemangordonumm...13:54
freemangordon"because what I am doing in accounts-ui is - I am trying to get *account* parameter, but if it does not exists, I am trying to get protocol default for that parameter"13:54
Wizzupfreemangordon: don't care about it, just wondering if all things really show up13:54
Wizzupjust curiousity13:55
siceloalex1216: out of curiosity, what temp does your replacement battery report under /sys/class/power/bq27200-013:55
freemangordonit should13:55
alex1216sicelo: 37913:56
siceloso the battery is hot? :-)13:57
Wizzupfreemangordon: can I just make one roster/aggregator at start of application and use those?13:58
Wizzup(for conversations)13:58
freemangordonsure13:58
Wizzupk13:58
siceloor maybe 37 is somewhat normal to the touch? can't recall what mine usually shows13:58
freemangordonor just get the default13:58
freemangordonor rather, use xxx_get_default() every time13:58
freemangordonit uses static var13:59
siceloarno11: what's your general temperature under /sys/class/power/bq27200-013:59
bencohsicelo: sounds about normal to me, but I can't check here14:00
alex1216sicelo: Now it runs on the battery and now it does not appears to be hot.14:02
freemangordonWizzup: or just pass NULL, abook will use the default14:02
freemangordonso, unless you want to you your ebook, there is no need to use another aggregator14:03
freemangordon*to use14:03
freemangordonsee https://github.com/maemo-leste/osso-abook/blob/master/lib/osso-abook-aggregator.c#L115214:05
Wizzupfreemangordon: I don't want to wait for it to be ready every time14:05
Wizzupso I rather keep it around14:05
freemangordonWizzup: you want to wait for it to be ready only the first time14:08
Wizzupexactly14:08
freemangordonso, in the constructor (or wherever):14:08
Wizzupso I still need to keep track of it anyway14:08
freemangordonno14:08
freemangordonon init, wait for osso_abook_aggregator_get_default() to get ready14:08
freemangordonand then pass NULL to every function that needs aggregator14:09
freemangordonalso, you may want to connect to signals, dunno14:09
Wizzupbtw, fd.o is down right?14:09
freemangordonlooks like14:09
freemangordonI installed docs locally14:09
freemangordonsee the link ^^^14:09
WizzupI am not sure what link you mean, but I did see the gh link you sent14:13
freemangordonyes, gh link14:13
freemangordononce created it stays there14:14
freemangordondefault aggregator that is14:14
freemangordonarno11: isn;t it sweet to see your FB contacts in addressbook :)14:15
alex1216sicelo: Do such things happen often with replacement BL-5J's? Are these batteries usually really new, or ones from old stocks can appear too?14:18
Wizzupfreemangordon: did you ever manage to dive into that 'No name' showing in on address book?14:23
freemangordonhmm, where do you see that?14:23
Wizzupon my vm now14:23
Wizzuphttps://wizzup.org/vm.png14:24
freemangordonhmm, what contacts are those?14:24
Wizzupxmpp14:25
freemangordonI guess you shall create an account for me14:25
freemangordonhmm, wait14:25
freemangordonI ahve one14:25
Wizzupbtw don't forget to push/merge to master on rtcom-accounts-ui14:26
freemangordonbut have to do some RL work now14:26
Wizzupand yes I can make you one14:26
freemangordonah, right, thank you14:26
freemangordonbbl14:26
Wizzupttyl14:27
siceloalex1216: it's first time i come across this. my analysis may even be wrong:-p14:27
freemangordonWizzup: how to build new version of translation package?16:07
Wizzupfreemangordon: so in principe this can be done just using regular ci16:10
Wizzupbut I know parazyd had some other scripts for it16:10
freemangordonok, I'll let you know when the Bulgarian translation is ready as well16:15
Wizzupok16:16
freemangordonWizzup: don17:43
freemangordone17:43
uvos__so Wizzup is part of the sicillian mafia eh?18:11
freemangordonheh18:15
freemangordonWizzup: hmm, CI is crawling18:25
arno11freemangordon: oh cool, i didn't notice stuff in addressbook18:40
arno11(there is just one contact in my fb 'account' so...didn't notice :P)18:42
arno11btw here are the mc-tool commands for who is interested to test:18:59
arno11mc-tool add haze/facebook 'email address' string:account='email address' string:password='password'19:00
arno11mc-tool list19:00
arno11mc-tool enable <account name from the list>19:01
arno11mc-tool auto-connect <account name from the list> on19:01
freemangordonarno11: not really (mctool commands)19:38
freemangordonone should better enable extras-testing repo and install "Facebook Accounts Plugin" from application manager19:39
freemangordonand then create account from accounts-ui19:39
arno11freemangordon: heh nice :)20:04
freemangordonhmm, seems we are hitting https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47005 :(20:07
freemangordonok, but why it is not fixed?!?20:09
freemangordonyeah, debian misses https://github.com/TelepathyIM/telepathy-haze/commit/83589722731dde63118104f75c9ab89f66b21c2120:20
freemangordonarno11: btw, if we don;t hit issues, I will move fb account plugin to extras in few days20:58
arno11ok20:58
* freemangordon is excited that leste finally starts to look what fremantle was back then :)20:58
arno11yeah that's amazing20:59
freemangordonbtw, did you use fremantle?20:59
arno11yeak for 14y20:59
freemangordonok20:59
freemangordonah, btw, upgrade telepaty-haze, otherwise it crashes when you try to merge contacts20:59
freemangordonactually upgrade everything :)21:00
arno11ok21:00
Wizzupfreemangordon: yeah I think internet at home has some issues22:15
arno11freemangordon: after updating all, fb contact from address book disapeared22:28
arno11ah, forget that22:29
arno11it appears only if you are online22:29
freemangordon:)22:30
freemangordonfor some reason eds tp backend dos not pull avatars22:30
siceloarno11: they're not your friend if you're offline :-D22:59
arno11indeed :D23:01
